Been There, Done That Still Miss It.

(From The Woodsman's Notebook)

Do you know what it's like to sit in a 100-year-old cabin with a Timber

Wolf and a pair of loving affectionate Flying Squirrels sitting by your

side on a cold December night? or, Have you ever walked through the

woods on a bright sunny day while the birds flew along to guide your

way. Have you ever watched, while two Bald Eagles build their nest

across the road from the cabin from which you live? Have you ever?

Have you ever Watched a Doe watch you in appreciation while her

two spotted fawns were feeding on the meal pile left for them at the

tree line.

Have you ever? Had your neighbors sheep drop by for a visit, and

then walk in for a coffee clutch of bread and water, while others in

the house sat in awe asking, how does he do this?

Have you ever found total 100 % serenity sitting idle, while the winds

blew in a rage outside, carrying a snowy winter blizzard relentlessly

to whereabouts unknown?

Do you know what it is like? To get lost in intelligent conversation

to find out the minutes that went by were actually hours. Or, how

about sitting in front of a fire snuggled in with absolutely nothing to

say or do nor even care or want to, while that relentless blizzard outside

is looking for away in?

Have you ever? Sat near a campfire while the flames carried you to

another dimension of reality, with no thoughts nor cares of troubles

and tribulations of everyday life.

Were you ever able to look back at life's mistakes and misfortunes

of yours and others, smile to yourself and say, lesson learned.

Are you one to keep up with the Jones's meaningless lives? Or, would

you rather cut out your own path to destiny?

Do you know what it's like to dream, or do you remember when dreams

came true?
