- It was forgiveness, absolution
and liberation so you could pass with peace and
pride.
How can a man be such a fool to be toyed with in
such a way?
To see the truth now for all its worth, means
nothing more to say.
Their fear of truth and honesty, and how it might
come about;
I fear for their souls at Heaven’s gate, I fear
they’ll be locked out.
These people, who call themselves family, are
pathetic this is true.
To be locked out at Heaven’s gate for the mistakes
they made this
- may be a little cruel.

The Flight of The Eagle
( From The Woodsman’s Notebook
)
To all my friends this guaranty is true.
I am The Eagle known only by few.
I stealth in the clothing of flannel and blue.
It is the form of the Woodsman of which I
choose.
So be for warned who harass and criticize,
You will notice blue turn to gray in my eyes.
When you see the arms turn to wings and the feet
to talons,
You have harmed the serenity and the peace of
the friends of Alan.
For I am the Woodsman you all know is true, be
true to my friends,
In my forest there is safety there for you . . .
