Can you handle the man?
(From The Woodsman’s Notebook)
Can you handle the man trapped inside? I’ll have to bet
you can’t. Why would you want to take a chance? Why
would you dare? After do men really care? Can you handle
the man? Is it possible some men do? Are you sure they
aren’t just to shy to get to know you? How well do you
know the man inside? If all men are created equal,
wouldn’t we all be the same? Are all men the same? Can
you handle this man? Does he feel the same? Are you
really sure? It might be he just isn’t the man for you.
Are we really all the same? Are you sure we don’t
believe in Honesty and truth? Or is it just a game we
play? How well do you know this man trapped inside?
Cautious with most, Private to some, open with few,
mistrusting with many, well perceived by none. Can you
handle the man inside? Honesty he wears on his sleeve
for all to see, trust he keeps in his heart to afraid to
let it part, love he stores in his being but never seen.
Can you see the man trapped inside? His loneliness
buried deep inside. Is he afraid to let the world that
yes he cried? Can you handle this man? |

Honesty, loyalty, commitment thought to be lies
are true to him with no compromise. Yes that
word compromise inside another promise hides.
Who is this man trapped inside? Truthful with no
bounds, how funny the way that sounds. Not a man
you say? Who am I? Is it games you think I play?
A Companion to the end but sill searching for
his best friend.
Sensitivity and devotion he finds it hard to
share when he sees that you don’t really care.
What about the man trapped inside? Can you
handle this man? If you think you can then show
him your beautiful smile. Can you handle the man
inside? I’ll have to bet you can’t.
